ooo! Poached egg?

John was considerably brighter later on today. He was able to send his thanks to everyone who sent their love and good wishes.


Maureen reported that "He is now on a ward on his own, enjoying peace and quiet after a bad day yesterday with a television blaring.


Graeme and Daniella said Goodbye this morning; flying back to France, but hope to return very soon.


Ruth and Miriam are still here and John and I are so happy to have their support"

 John is lots more chatty today. He feels better today then he has for a number of days. He sounds more like himself, his voice is stronger and his thoughts slightly clearer. He asked for poached eggs for his tea and asked what had happened on the news.

If anyone would like to send a message to John & Maureen please don't hesitate to let me know and I will pass it along.

Well I never...

John hasn't quite managed to get online, so we thought we would do it for him. Also with everybody wishing Maureen and John well and calling for updates, Maureen is struggling to get to you all and thank you for your good wishes.

At the weekend, John took quite a turn. He contracted pneumonia and was seriously poorly. However this morning his brother Graeme was delighted to inform us that he had managed a little porridge and a glass of milk. He is regaining his strength, his temperature has returned to normal and he is out of the woods.

As the morning progressed he was able to tell us off for not getting his pillow quite so! Evidence of his strength returning.

At lunch he ate a whole pot of jelly and insisted a second pot was saved for later!

I will endeavour to provide periodic updates about John's progress but forgive me if they are not daily.

Also please forgive Maureen if she doesn't get back to you straight away. She really appreciates your calls and support.
